– Stanza della damigella

The room accommodated the lady-in-waiting, the lady of the house’s friend and helper in her life in the castle. The room is small, well-furnished and decorated. The walls are painted in diamond shapes with the initials of King Arduin, copied from a model in Strambino Castle. Clothes were stored in a chest at the foot of the bed, as was the custom in travelling courts; on a carved cabinet were the tools for spinning linen and hemp: the spindle, the distaff, a spinning wheel. In the light of the window and near the warmth of the large fireplace is a washbasin for daily toiletry.

Like the baronial chamber, the room has a private toilet: a small room overlooking the castle moat, with a perforated seat.
